Katherine F. Jones

 

After a five-year stint in Kansas City as an Air Force wife and graduate student, Katherine kicked off her post-graduate career as an Advertising Copywriter and Email Marketing Manager at CRC Press/Taylor & Francis, an academic publisher based in Boca Raton. She then became a Marketing Content Specialist at TBC Corporation – the Palm Beach Gardens-based parent company of international tire and automotive service retailers.

Katherine was promoted to Interactive Content Manager two years later, where she honed her writing craft and flexed her creative muscle in content strategy, photography and video direction, as well as project management. After six years, Katherine was ready to work outside the retail space, so she answered a recruiting call from JetSmarter, the private aviation tech startup in Fort Lauderdale, for a full-time writing gig as the company’s Senior Content Writer. A year later, she was promoted to Director of Communications, where she worked directly with the executive team to develop and deliver go-to-market communication and sales strategies.

After a move to Boca Raton and a long-standing love affair with college campuses, Katherine was thrilled to make the move to higher education and join the Dean’s team as the Director of Communications. She is responsible for communicating the incredible work going on inside the College of Social Work & Criminal Justice to the broader University audience, surrounding community, and beyond.

In her off time, Katherine can be found somewhere in the sun, on the water, or perhaps on a snowy slope – it all depends on which direction the travel winds are blowing.
