School of Architecture Admissions Requirements
Freshman applicants should select pre-architecture on their application for admission. Students will automatically be considered for direct entry into the lower division architecture program. The program is limited and selective. Priority deadline for consideration is January 31. The program requires students to, at the minimum, be prepared for the rigors of college algebra (MAC 1105) in their first semester.
Students who are considering dual enrollment (while in high school), and are interested in pursuing an architecture degree at FAU, are encouraged to prepare for this program with the following courses:
- ENC 1101, 1102
- MAC 1105
- ARC 1301, 1302
Please note that there is another admission review process upon completion of your first two years in the lower division pre-professional architecture program on the Boca Raton Campus, and prior to entering the accredited professional Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) program, which is offered in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
